The church was built in the Romanesque style in the second half of the 12th century. The relics of St. Laumera, Saint. Mary the Egyptian and Saint. Leobin and a fragment of the Holy Cross. Inside, you can see the historic high altar, side altars, the baptismal font and the chapel of Our Lady. It is also worth paying attention to the numerous, colorful stained glass windows and paintings.
The church and the abbey were built by Benedictines from the Corbion monastery in Perche. In the 9th century, they found refuge in Blois after Viking raids forced them to abandon the previous monastery. On one of the paintings in the church you can see the scene of the monastery being built by monks.
The oldest part of the temple dates from 1138-1186. In the following centuries, especially during the religious wars, the church and abbey were destroyed several times. The temple was rebuilt at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.
