The history of the botanical garden in Besançon dates back to 1580 - it has existed in its current location since 1957. Originally it was a typical didactic garden, now it is oriented to the needs of public use as a garden of senses. Here you can see 5000 species of plants, divided into categories, e.g. carnivores, succulents and medicinal plants.
