Granet Museum
Local name: Musée Granet
The Granet Museum collects paintings and sculptures from the Renaissance to the present day. Its seat is the classicist building of the former presbytery of the church of Saint John. The museum's collection includes, among others, Rembrandt's self-portrait, as well as the works of van Dyck, Cezanne, Picasso and van Gogh.
The museum was opened in 1838. Initially, it mainly collected archaeological collections. In the second half of the 20th century, however, its domain became art. After the reorganization of the exhibition in 2006, the archaeological collection was closed due to the lack of space in the building.
