Temple of Kom Ombo

The unusual double temple dates from the Ptolemy dynasty. It was built in the 2nd century BC, and then expanded in the Roman period. The southern part of the temple was dedicated to Sobek, Hathor and Khonsu, and the northern part to Horus. Part of the building was restored in the 19th century
