Geo Museum Faxe

The museum is right next to the Faxe Kalkbrud outdoor quarry. Among the collected exhibits there are fossils dating back 65 million years. During this period, Denmark was covered by a deep sea and there was a large coral reef in the Faxe area.

The exhibition on the ground floor is devoted to fossils, and from the wheel on the first floor you can see an exhibition of life on the reef. It is worth combining visiting the museum with a visit to the quarry where you can look for your own fossils.
