Cathedral of Saint Budolfi

Local name: Budolfi Kirke

The church was built in the Gothic style at the end of the 14th century. The first written mention of it comes from 1399. At the end of the 19th century, aisles and a chapel were added to it. It is 56 m long and 22 m wide, not including the side extensions. The temple is considered the smallest of the Danish cathedrals.

The square tower was added to the church in 1779. Its brick part is 28 meters high and is topped with a 35-meter dome with a spire. On its walls there are 4 identical clock faces. There are 4 bells in the tower, the oldest of which dates back to the second half of the 17th century.

In the richly decorated interior, you can see a decorated pulpit, the 17th-century main altar and a baptismal font made of white and black marble. It is also worth paying attention to the ornate Baroque organ facade from 1749.
