Vaňovský Waterfall
Local name: Vaňovský vodopád
Vanovsky waterfall is located in a cauldron formed of basalt rocks as a result of volcanic activity during the Tertiary period. It is 12 meters high and falls from a vertical rock wall into a stony gorge.
The waterfall is very picturesque due to the surroundings of vertical basalt rocks. It is created by a small stream Poděšín, which makes it look the most spectacular in early spring during thaws. In the summer, very often, the waterfall remains only a narrow guard falling down the stones. The waterfall can be reached via the green trail from Vanov or Uście nad Labem.
