Museum of city Ústí nad Labem

The city museum in Uście nad Labem is housed in a neo-Renaissance building of the former school. Its representative room is the Imperial Hall decorated with wall and ceiling paintings. The museum's collections include numerous specimens of minerals, artistic handicrafts, as well as monuments from the battle of Chlumiec in 1813.
The museum was founded in 1876, but it could not find a permanent place for a long time. It was only after World War II that they were placed in the former school building. The neo-Renaissance, monumental edifice has a facade decorated with a risalit covered with a hipped roof and decorated with blind arcades.
Museum exhibitions relate to the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Uście nad Labem and the surrounding area. There are specimens of flora and fauna characteristic of the region, as well as geological collections. Until recently, the archaeological department has grown in recent years thanks to excavations carried out in the area. At the exhibition you can see ceramics, jewelry and weapons from the early Middle Ages and prehistoric period. The exhibition showing the work tools and products of local craftsmen refers to the industrial traditions of the region. A separate exhibition presents military items from the Battle of Chlumec.
