The pilgrimage church and Klokoty monastery are a baroque building located near Tabor. It is a Marian sanctuary in which the seventeenth-century painting painted by Johann Andreas Burger is worshiped. The church on the Latin cross plan is surrounded by polygonal cloisters with chapels in the corners.
The church was built in the years 1700-1730. Its main founders were rich townspeople from Tabor. The side chapels of the church were funded by noble Schwarzenberg and Lobkowicz families. Currently, the sanctuary is under the care of the Congregation of Missionary Oblates of the Immaculate.
The pilgrimage church is considered a Baroque masterpiece. Its most characteristic element are the domes crowned with crosses visible from afar. There are as many as nine above the temple and cloisters. The church has an elongated nave and a polygonal presbytery. In the main altar there is a picture of the Virgin Mary in a silver-plated dress made by Prague goldsmith Franz Seitz. The Way of the Cross called Kalwaria leads to the monastery. The main religious ceremonies take place in Klokoty in August.
