Prague Old Town Hall is the former seat of the municipal authorities. The building was erected in Gothic style, and it is worth noting that the portal is maintained in this style. On the south wall of the Old Town Hall was the Prague Astronomical Clock, which consists of three parts: astronomical calendar and animation.
The building of the Old Town Hall was built in 1338 and was completed during the Hussite Wars. The Astronomical Clock was built in 1410. Eighty years later, Hanuš of Růža rebuilt the clock that was his life and attracted many people to admire it. One of the watchmakers is associated with one of the Prague legends.
Instead of reward for this work met him a cruel punishment. The rulers of Prague decided to blind the craftsman so that he would never create a more beautiful work. The Master decided to take revenge and threw himself into believing, damaging the clock mechanism. After 80 years the clock has been repaired, but the clockmaker's spirit still wanders to the present day.
