The castle, or rather a Rococo palace in Dobříš, is an extremely atmospheric monument offering tourists a hotel, an elegant period restaurant, as well as a well-maintained French park. Inside the building, you can also visit 11 rooms decorated in the baroque, rococo and classical style, as well as a luxurious mirror room where concerts and weddings take place.
The Rococo castle Dobříš was built in the second half of the 18th century, after the Baroque château standing here was destroyed by fire. The current appearance is due to the reconstruction from 1745-1765, initiated by Henry Pavel Mansfeld. The Colloredo-Mansfeld family was the owner of the castle until 1942. After the war, the castle was confiscated by the Czechoslovak state and used as a House of Writers. The current owner of the palace is Jerome Colloredo-Mansfeld from Austria.
