The Croatian Railway Museum (Hrvatski željeznički muzej) in Zagreb presents a permanent outdoor exhibition with 14 locomotives (8 of them are steam models) and 6 wagons. The museum exhibition also includes antique machinery used for transport services, traffic lights, uniforms worn by employees of the Croatian railway, as well as important documents and archival photographs.
Visitors will also see a rich collection of train models, the museum has 94 models. In this way, the next stages of railway development in the country were presented.
The museum's purpose is to show the history of the Croatian railways. The idea for its creation was created in the 1960s, but due to the lack of space for its implementation, it had to be abandoned. The museum was finally established only in 1991.
