Osijek Zoo is the largest zoo in Croatia and covers an area of about 11 hectares on the left coast of the Drawa River. About 650 animals live in the zoo, representing over one hundred different species. These include bison, bears, camels, giraffes, zebras, llamas and porcupines. The garden is divided into three parts: an open part with animal enclosures, an aquarium and a terrarium.
Osijek Zoo was founded in 1955 and has been growing systematically since then. The mission of the zoo is to educate and bring visitors to various species of animals from around the world, while providing these animals with conditions that most resemble their natural environment.
Osijek Zoo also offers the possibility of organizing birthdays and other catering events, during which you can visit the zoo with a guide, take part in educational workshops as well as games and activities.
