Yellow Fortress

Local name: Žuta tabija

The Yellow Fortress is one of the remains of fortifications on the Vratnik hill above Sarajevo. The fortifications were built in the mid-18th century to defend the city against the Habsburg Monarchy. Only two bastions have survived to this day. The Yellow Fortress is a famous viewpoint on Sarajevo and the mountains surrounding the city. It is a popular place from which you can watch sunsets.
