Sarajevo City Hall

The historic town hall dates from the late nineteenth century. Its architecture is a pictorial example of historic eclecticism. Formerly it housed the National Library, which burned down in 1992 during the bombing. Several hundred thousand valuable volumes were destroyed at that time. The rebuilt edifice was reopened in 2014.
