Sacred Heart Cathedral

The neo-Gothic cathedral was built in the second half of the nineteenth century and was the first Roman Catholic temple in Sarajevo since the destruction of the previous one at the end of the seventeenth century. Attention is drawn by two soaring bell towers and the rosette located between them. A statue of John Paul II stands in front of the cathedral.
