Baščaršija Mosque

Local name: Baščaršijska džamija

The mosque was built in 1528. Originally it had a wooden dome, but it burned down in a fire in 1697. Once again, the temple was destroyed during World War II. Currently, the mosque is topped with several small domes, above which a minaret with a height of 35 m rises. The interior is bright and is famous for its excellent acoustics.
