Old Bridge
Local name: Stari most
UNESCO-listed stone Ottoman bridge built in the 16th century on the Neretva River. It is a single-span structure with an arched shape with two towers at the ends. In 1993, the bridge was intentionally destroyed by the Croatian army during the shelling of Mostar. The reconstruction began immediately after the war with the support of the World Bank and UNESCO. Currently, one of the towers at the end of the bridge presents a film about the history of the building and its destruction and siege of Mostar.
