Saint Bartholomew's Church

Local name: Sint-Bartholomeuskerk

The temple is known for its baroque pulpit, considered one of the most beautiful in Belgium and the relics of St. Bartholomew. From August 24, 1515, on the day of the patron saint of the church, a solemn procession takes place through the streets of the city. The current Gothic-Baroque edifice of the temple was created as a result of the extension of a 12th-century Romanesque chapel.
