Koningin Astridpark

The garden founded in 1246 outside the walls of the Franciscan monastery for the next 500 years was cultivated and developed by religious until the dissolution of the congregation during French domination. From 1850, the gardens became a public park - a popular recreational area with picturesque fountains, small architecture and comfortable alleys.
