Brabo fountain

The sculptural composition of the fountain built in 1887 depicts the scene of the triumph of the legendary Roman hero Silvius Brabo over the giant Druon Antigoon. According to legend, the giant demanded high fees from sailors passing by Skalda - he cut off his hands for those who did not pay. The fountain is the work of the Antwerp sculptor Jef Lambaux.
