A rich collection of minerals can be admired at the Vienna Museum of Natural History. The collection includes approximately 3,000 samples of ore and other minerals from abandoned mines. Examples of ores are mainly from Austria and the area of the former Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, but also from Brazil and New Zealand.
