Lech is part of the largest Austrian ski region Leci and Zurs, which in total has over 300 km of well-groomed slopes and extensive hotel facilities. In summer, the surroundings are perfect for mountain hiking.
The town is situated in a narrow, mountain valley surrounded by peaks reaching up to approx. 3 thousand. m above sea level. The upper stations of the lifts are located at an altitude of approx. 2500 m above sea level, and some routes end directly in Lech, over 700 m below. Both experienced skiers and snowboarders, as well as beginners can test and polish their skills here. There are numerous ski schools, equipment rentals and service facilities, as well as catering facilities around the slopes.
The resort, which also includes the typical hotel Oberlech, offers many opportunities to spend your free time after skiing. Lech's attractions include restaurants, bars, nightclubs, wellness salons, fitness centers, game rooms, family playrooms, and a large selection of outdoor activities such as snowshoeing, a toboggan run and an ice rink.
In summer, you can go hiking around Lech. Access routes from the valleys lead to the higher elevated paths. You can also use year-round cable cars and lifts, such as the Rufikopf cable car, which takes you to the Rufikopf viewing platform.
