Untersberg Cable Car

The cable car in the Salzburg Aplach, which allows you to quickly reach the Untersberg mountain. It is a popular tourist destination at any time of the year due to the beautiful views and hiking trails starting at the upper station.

The lower station of the cable car is at an altitude of 456 m above sea level, and the upper at an altitude of 1776 m above sea level. In its vicinity there is the Geiereck peak and the Salzburger Hochtron, from which Salzburg is perfectly visible. There is also a monument to Mountain Riflemen. At the top there are also a restaurant and a tourist hostel.
