Castle ruins Rauhenstein
Local name: Burgruine Rauhenstein
The ruins of a 12th-century castle, repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt over the centuries. After the introduction of roof tax in the eighteenth century, was abandoned and began to fall into ruin. At the end of the 19th century, conservation works began, thanks to which the ruins are in good condition and it is possible to organize a festival here in the so-called Walpurgis Night (from April 30 to May 1).
