Schloss Malmöhus

The oldest Renaissance castle in Scandinavia was originally the residence of Danish kings, which was converted into a prison in the 19th century. In the 20th century, the castle became a museum that, after World War II, provided shelter to people rescued from Nazi death camps for several months. The exhibitions presented there tell the turbulent history of the castle.
