Großes Union-Denkmal

The Great Union Monument, standing in Bobâlna Square in the city of Dej, is a group of bronze statues by Romanian artist Alexandru Lupu. It was unveiled on November 30, 1995. It features the three leaders of the Grand Union - Theodore Mihali, Alexandru Vaida-Voievod, and Stefan Cicio-Pop. By virtue of the Union, concluded on December 1, 1918, Greater Romania was established, as a result of the reunification of Transylvania and Bessarabia with the Old Kingdom of Romania.
