The Old Town in Pszczyna has preserved its traditional medieval urban layout to this day. Therefore, the city center is marked by a vast, rectangular square. It is surrounded by beautiful, restored tenement houses from the 18th and 19th centuries. The market square also includes the Neo-Renaissance Town Hall, an Evangelical Church, and even a castle and the Church of All Saints. In the center there is also a replica of a 19th-century well.
The market square was once the city's main market square. To this day, it is teeming with life, all year round. Numerous cultural events take place here, such as Daisy Gardens, a horse parade as part of the horse picnic, and a Christmas market in winter.
The Pszczyna Market Square was laid out in the 13th century, when the town was founded. To this day, it has retained its original shape of an elongated rectangle. The most important promenade in Pszczyna - Piastowska Street runs through it.
