In the Vilnius Basilica, there is the famous painting of the Virgin Mary with the Baby Jesus, which - according to legend - was taken from Byzantium by Witold Kiejstutowicz, the Grand Duke of Lithuania. Until today, the temple is used to celebrate mass in Polish and Lithuanian. The basilica was built in 1409 and represents the Gothic and Baroque styles.
