Medininkai Denkmal

The Memorial in Miedniki commemorates the tragic events that took place all over the country after Lithuania regained independence. On July 31, the Soviet special forces unit OMON attacked the officers working at the border post, which resulted in the loss of seven lives. The monument commemorating the murdered was established in 1993, three years after the Soviet attack.
