The Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium is home to Ireland's largest collection of sharks and white-tailed penguins. There are also other species of animals, both exotic and local, including turtles, otters and lots of fish. In addition to watching the animals in their enclosures and aquariums, you can also participate in feeding demonstrations and talk about them.
Dingle Oceanworld is not only an aquarium, but also a Conservation and Research Center. Its employees conduct research aimed at improving the quality of life in the sea and educating visitors to the center.
The facility organizes group classes, especially for schools. They usually last two hours and include a tour of the aquarium with the chance to get up close to spiders and starfish. You can even touch them or pick them up. Interactive science experiments focus on three core science subjects: biology, chemistry, and physics.
