Gavnø Park

Lokaler Name: Gavnø Park

The castle garden park is open to the public all year round. It was established as a baroque park in the mid-18th century, but in 1850 it was converted into an English-style park with a more open and natural character. It is worth visiting especially in spring and summer, especially because of the rich collections of flowers grown there.

In the northern part of the park, there is a rose garden where you can see a wide variety of roses, both historic and completely new. There is also the longest avenue of Japanese cherries in the country, especially picturesque, especially in spring, and a sensory garden. It is divided into 6 spaces, each of which affects a different sense.

Every year, from April to May, the park hosts Denmark's largest tulip festival. In turn, in July and August, the Lily Festival is organized here.
