La Roche Merveilleuse

La Roche Merveilleuse is a picturesque viewpoint, located at an altitude of 1,435 m above sea level, on top of a rocky glacier circus. It offers a panoramic view of the neighboring town of Cilaos. There is a tourist route to the point, which usually takes about an hour. From La Roche Merveilleuse itself, you can return to the city or go hiking on one of the several routes that continue across the Chênes Plateau and the Grand Matarum Forest.
