The source of the 430-kilometer-long Doubs River emerges from a huge rock throat 30 m high and 60 m wide. The surroundings are well marked and equipped with information panels. At the source, a 6-kilometer trail starts down the gorge to the Mouthier-Haute-Pierre power plant.
