The chalk cliffs extend 6 km along the eastern coast of the island of Møn in the Baltic Sea. Their height ranges from 102 to 128 m. Their white color contrasts with the green of the beech forests that surround them, which in autumn turn intensely red. Both the cliffs and the adjacent park have the status of a protected nature reserve.
You can only walk on the cliffs on the designated path. The entrance to it is near the car park next to the GeoCenter Møns Klint museum. Then you need to go down the wooden stairs with nearly 500 steps. They are considered the longest stairs in the country. The walking route runs along the top of the cliffs, and in several places also allows you to go down directly to the seashore.
