Dobrich is a large city located a short distance from popular resorts such as Balchik, Golden Sands and Albena. Therefore, it can be a good place for a sightseeing trip from these places. There is a large zoo and several interesting museums and churches.

The city was founded in the 16th century at the intersection of trade routes by Turkish merchants. After the Balkan wars and World War I, it belonged to Romania until 1940. Currently, it is in the top ten largest cities in Bulgaria and is a large administrative and industrial center.

The most important monument of the city is located in the Park of St. George, Orthodox Church of St. George. It was built just after the Crimean War in the style of the Bulgarian National Revival. Slightly younger, but equally picturesque is the Church of St. Trinity from the beginning of the 20th century

In addition to St. Jerzy, with numerous walking paths and artificial lakes, the Dobricz Zoo is a big attraction. Created in cooperation with Swiss specialists, the animal protection center allows the observation of species such as Przewalski's horses, deer, llamas, mouflons, bison and water birds in an environment as close to the natural as possible.

In Dobricz, you can also visit several interesting museums. It is home to the Jordan Yovkov House and the Jordan Yovkov Museum, a Bulgarian writer and social activist. In the city park there is the Nature Museum of Dobricz, and the Ethnographic Museum of Stary Dobricz is a city reserve with traditional shops, houses and craft workshops. In turn, the local Art Gallery has an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures and graphics, as well as a large collection of icons.
