St. Nicholas Cathedral
Local name: Cathédrale Saint-Nicolas
The Roman Catholic cathedral built in the Gothic style dominates the center of the medieval city. It is built on a rocky slope, 50 meters above the Sarine River. The church was founded in 1283 and construction was completed in 1430. Here you can admire the stained glass windows designed by the Polish painter Józef Mehoffer.
