The art museum exhibits the works of the Swiss painter and graphic artist Franz Gertsch. The artist's permanent collection is still being expanded with temporary special exhibitions. The museum building completed in 2002 offers 1000 sq m of exhibition space. Five parts collect and present almost all of Gertsch's work since 1987.
