Stockalper Castle

Local name: Stockalperschloss

The castle was built in 1658-1678 by Kaspar Stockalper, a local silk merchant. The four-story main building has three towers and an arcaded courtyard. The towers have gilded domes and are named after the three Wise Men. Currently, the monument has a town hall and a museum. The castle courtyard sometimes serves as an arena for concerts and events.
