Neu-Falkenstein Castle Ruins

The castle is one of the four former strongholds in the area. It stands on a hill 595 meters above sea level and is divided into two main areas. In the western main part a round main tower dominates, probably a fortress. In the eastern part there are the oldest fragments of the building. During excavations, at least four stages of construction were detected, which were determined for the 11th and 12th centuries, the end of the 13th century and the 1840s.
