The uninhabited island with an area of less than 2 km2 has been protected as a nature reserve due to the numerous caves and rich flora. The only mammals inhabiting the island are hares and bats. An interesting fact is the labyrinth made of stones, the origin and function of which remain an unsolved mystery.
