The neoclassical palace was built in the 18th century and for many years served as the official residence of the monarchs during their visits to the city. It is now the seat of the Municipal Historical Archive. On the ground floor there is an exhibition dedicated to the history of the palace and the noble who stayed in it. It was, among others King Ferdinand VII of Spain.
