The construction of this historic church began in the second half of the 16th century. Together with the adjacent monastery and seminary, it is one of the most representative examples of Renaissance architecture in the city. Its interior is richly decorated with frescoes. Particularly noteworthy is the chapel with frescoes by Bartolomé Matarana.
