The bridge was built in the 1930s according to the design of three engineers: Arturo Monforta, Jose Burguery and Gabriela Leyda. It consists of six arches measuring 25 m in length, with the whole structure measuring 167 m in length and 30 m in width. It is decorated with four sculptures symbolizing Wisdom, Agriculture, Fisheries and Valencia.
