Silla de Felipe II

The stone bench, carved out of granite rock, is located in a protected area of the picturesque landscape of Pinar de Abantos. Contrary to tradition and name, which recognize it as the place from which King Philip II watched the construction of the El Escorial Monastery, it is probably a pre-Romanesque altar.
