The Lluminosa Font in Salou is an illuminated fountain created in 1973 by the engineer Carles Buigas (the author of the famous fountain on Montjuïc hill in Barcelona). Tourists can see a water and light show here, during which up to 210 different combinations are used. In 2011, the fountain was modernized, new speakers and LED lighting were installed.
