Fortress of La Mola

The fortress stands on a peninsula at the mouth of the port of Mahon. It is the main and most important work of military engineering in Menorca. It comes from the mid-nineteenth century. It is currently open to the public. Astronomical observations, exhibitions and antiques fairs are also regularly organized here.
