The Saja-Besaya Natural Park is the largest area of its kind in Cantabria. You can admire vast meadows on the northern slope of Sierra del Cordel, known as Ports of Sejos, with huge erratic boulders - Cantos de la Borrica. A large part of the park is covered with lush deciduous forests with a predominance of oaks and beeches. The protected area is inhabited by brown bears, wolves and deer.
