Roque Nublo in Tejeda on Gran Canaria is a huge basalt monolith, which is 70 meters high. It comes from the Pleistocene and was considered the largest rock in the world. In the past it was a place of worship of the indigenous people of the village, now it is protected as a natural monument and is a tourist attraction of the region. A walking trail leads to the monolith.
