The construction of a Carthusian monastery, which is an example of Baroque architecture, began in the 16th century. Its interior is richly decorated, one of the most valuable religious monuments is the tabernacle (cabinet for storing Eucharistic bread) by Francisco Hurtado Izquierdo.
